Privacy at TechStyle

TechStyle Computers is a static website. The pages are built ahead of time and delivered as plain files, which means there is no login, no comment system, no shopping basket and no database collecting details about visitors. This page sets out the little that does touch personal data and what you can do about it.

Things this site does not use

• No statistics package that tallies readers or their clicks.
• No ad networks, retargeting tags or affiliate tracking codes.
• No social media widgets that load content from outside platforms.
• No fonts, images or scripts fetched from third-party servers; everything is served alongside the pages themselves.

Because none of these are present, we do not build profiles of readers and we have nothing of that kind to sell or share.

Your cookie choice

The first time you visit, a small notice asks whether you are happy with the site's storage. We keep that answer in your browser's local storage, purely so the question isn't repeated on each new page. That single entry stays on your device, is never sent to us and contains nothing but your choice. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes it whenever you like. Hosting logs

The pages reach you through a hosting company that stores and serves the files. When your browser requests a page, the provider's servers briefly record technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and the browser type it reports. These logs exist to keep the service running, deliver pages quickly and fend off abuse. They are kept for a short period by the provider, and we do not combine them with any other information or use them to identify readers. Our legal basis is legitimate interest in operating a secure, working website.

When you email us

The contact form does not send anything by itself; it opens your own email program with a message ready to go. If you write to mail@techstylecomputers.com, we receive your address, your name if you include it and whatever you choose to tell us. We use that only to read and answer your message, and we delete correspondence once it is no longer needed, unless a conversation is ongoing. We never add correspondents to mailing lists.

Links to other websites

Our guides sometimes send you to other websites. Once you follow such a link, that site's own privacy rules apply, and it may use cookies or analytics that we do not control.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you the right to:

• learn if any of your details sit in our inbox, and receive a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have data erased where there is no reason to keep it;
• restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
• get the information you gave us in a format you can take elsewhere;
• take a complaint to the privacy supervisor in your own country.

Realistically, an email you once sent us is about the only personal record we could have. Write to the address above and we will deal with your request without charge and within the time the law allows.

Children

The site is written for adults running homes and businesses. We don't knowingly gather any details about children, and none of our pages are aimed at them.

Changes to this page

If the way the site works changes, for example if a new feature handled personal data, this page will be updated before the change goes live.
