Cookies and Storage

Most cookie notices hide a long list of trackers. Ours is short because there is very little to list. This page explains exactly what TechStyle Computers stores in your browser and how to remove it.

The one thing we store

When you answer the storage notice, by accepting or declining, the site saves that answer in your browser's local storage. Local storage is a small area of your browser that a website can use to remember simple settings on your own device. Ours holds a single short entry: a code meaning "accepted" or "declined". Its only job is to stop the notice from popping up again on every page.

The entry is never sent to us or anyone else, and it does not identify you.

What we do not set

  • Nothing that tallies page views, clicks or scroll depth.
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No social media cookies from share buttons or embedded posts.
  • No sign-in cookies either, since the site has no user accounts to sign in to.

Declining the notice therefore changes nothing about how the site works: every page and every guide stays fully available.

Removing the entry

Every major browser lets you clear stored data for a single website. Look for options such as Site settings, Manage website data or Cookies and site data in your browser's privacy menu, find techstylecomputers.com and delete it. The notice will appear again on your next visit so you can choose afresh. Browsing in a private or incognito window also discards the entry when the window is closed.

Other websites

Plenty of our guides point to other companies' websites. Those sites may set their own cookies once you visit them, under their own policies. Our choice not to track readers does not extend to pages we do not run.
